Graduation season has come and gone for college students, who are now moving back home with mom and dad and trying to figure out their lives. One of my favorite shows, The Middle, focuses around a quirky family of five with three kids who are always up to something. Here are 12 relatable instances where we have all been like the Heck family in post-grad life.
1. You come up with random excuses to avoid unpacking.
2. But when you start, you can't find any of your clothes.
3. You slip into denial about not living with your best friends anymore.
4. There's no more reminders like this because you're in your future now.
5. When you realize you have no life plan.
6. And when family members ask you what you're doing for the rest of your life.
7. When you realize you're having a quarter-life crisis.
8. When you try to do adult things.
9. You spend time picking on your siblings to make up for when you were at school.
10. When you finally get a job interview.
11. When they ask about your previous work experience in the interview.
12. The feeling you get when you land the job so you can make your parents proud and become a productive member of society.
