Dear Santa,

Hi there! Or should I call you Mr. Claus? Saint Nick? Eh...Santa will do.

Anyway, thank you so much for everything you do. This year's Christmas was another success of giving, quality family time, and holiday cheer for everyone. I will always be amazed at how you manage to travel to every house, deliver presents, and keep going without a beat! You are an inspiration to college students ever who can barely move during finals week, so good on ya!

How are the reindeer after the big night? Make sure Rudolph and all them get the self-care they deserve. They are valiant heroes in their own right, and without them, Christmas would not be possible. The same goes for your hardworking elves that deserve more credit than they receive.

Make sure you wash your suit and everything because they're probably sweating from all the hardwork you've done. How's Mrs. Claus? I hope she accomplishes her dreams as well, as she is an independent woman and your support system in all of this.

How do you survive up in the North Pole? *shivers* It makes me cold just thinking about it. Do you have a heater? Do you not mind the cold? Or do you have a magical power to heat everyone up? These are the questions I wonder.

Speaking of questions, why cookies and milk? Do you like other desserts, like brownies? And is chocolate milk ever an option? I do like my chocolate milk :)

All in all, you have always been a magical influence in my life, and are a big part why I love Christmas ever so much. No matter what anyone says, I will always believe in you and your constant holiday spirit. You're always be jolly in my heart.

Thanks again for everything, and I will see you next year! :)

Much love,

Your friend Kyle

PS: Take a long break. You deserve it. Happy New Year!

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
