The Post-Christmas Blues are Upon Us, Folks

Get out your boxes to start packing up all the holiday cheer. Oh, and also get your tissues ready:(

So another Christmas season has come and gone in the blink of an eye, and if you go hard in the paint when it comes to holiday festivites like I do, there are so many things to miss about Christmas that you might be at risk of being sent into a mini depression session when it's over.

Here's just a few of the things we'll all miss. There are simply too many to gather into one post.... #RIP

All the holiday baking (!!!)

Ever since I could help in the kitchen without being more of a hassle than I was worth, I've helped my mom with all of the Christmas baking. And as soon as I hit 13, all of the baking responsibilities passed on to be so mom could do other things. Whether you're the one doing all the baking or eating everything that someone else has baked, you're gonna miss it. (But your skinny jeans won't!)

The Christmas Blend from Starbucks

THIS STUFF IS THE BOMB. Yes, I wrote a certain hate post about a certain Starbucks drink a couple of months ago, but consider this the absolute opposite of a hate post. If you haven't tried this blend, too late, gotta wait till next year because it's officially out of stock at all Starbucks locations come December 26th :///

Christmas music

I may be one of those people that listens to Christmas music way too early, but I draw the line at Post-Christmas-Listening. How sad. How desperate.

The fact that literally EVERYONE is happy ALL OF THE TIME

There's nothing like it. Why is (almost) every person in the world more pleasant when it comes to the holidays? I don't understand it, but it's so nice that I won't question it.

The Decorations

Well, maybe your decorations take a while to come down. But when it's time to pack them all up I feel like I'm wrapping up a little piece of my soul and throwing it into the back of my attic. Anyone else? No? Okay.

Reliving the magic of childhood...

After 18 long years of deliberation, I've decided that people love the Christmas season so much because they can reminisce (no, not in the sad "I'm forty yeras old and still haven't moved on from my high school glory days" kind of way!) on being a kid and experiencing the most magical thing ever. Besides Disney World, obviously.

Yes, I am aware that I'm being a little dramatic. Frankly, I can't remember the last time I wasn't overly dramatic. But the passing of the most wonderful time of the year calls for a little drama!

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Mistakes are something we all make, no matter how old we get. Most of the time, the mistakes we made are little and sometimes due to something out of our control. Yet, there are mistakes that are bigger than others. Personally, I have mistakes that I wish I could go back and undo. Here they are:

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
