Edwin Encarnacion is the best player right now still in the free agency market. At the start of the offseason, Encarnacion was given a qualifying offer by his former team, the Toronto Blue Jays. He turned it down and since then, he hasn't gotten a huge offer that has been up for consideration. Here are some possible places Edwin Encarnacion could go and where he went at the end

1. St. Louis Cardinals

With the recent signing of Dexter Fowler, it seems like the Cardinals are all in. To compete with the Cubs in the NL Central, you need a powerful offensive lineup. Encarnacion can be the guy that helps them make a playoff run in 2017.

2. Houston Astros

The Astros are in need for a 1st baseman. Yulieski Gurriel isn't going to get the job done at 1st and bringing in Encarnacion can fill that roll at 1st and make a big impact for them. The Astros are going to have to pay big money for him but it will be well worth it.

3. Seattle Mariners

They have the cash to go out and get a big-time free agent. Seattle hasn't made the postseason in a long time and the time is now for Seattle to make a big splash this offseason. Seattle is missing a big piece and Encarnacion is the guy they need.

4. Texas Rangers

Encarnacion could possibly land in the Lon Star State. The Rangers are World Series contenders year after year and always fall up short. The window is closing on the Rangers success as many of their players are in last years of their contracts. Encarnacion will make this team better and possibly Win a World Series Championship with him.

Update:

Edwin Encarnacion ended up going to the Cleveland Indians and he will make a big impact there.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
