Earlier this month, China's Purple Mountain Laboratory has discovered images of an asteroid approaching Earth using Asia's largest telescope.
The asteroid, coded as 2009ES, has been passing our planet with a range of 18.8 times the distance between Earth and the moon.
According to the Chinese Academy of Science, the meteor is just one of 1,600 other asteroids out there known as 'minor bodies' orbiting towards Earth which scientists monitor in case their flight path alters.
Scientists, however, are keeping a close eye on this particular bad boy due to its sheer mass of nearly three billion nuclear missiles.
I just pooped myself.
So if Asteroid 2009ES were to collide with Earth, experts estimate it could release as much energy as three billion atomic bombs.
Astronomers believe an asteroid similar in size wiped out the dinosaurs 65 million years ago.
But what's another apocalyptic 'the world is ending' warning going to do? Amiright? At this point, there's nothing we can't handle.
Although, in the off chance that our days are indeed coming to an end, I am single, and I guess I am ready to mingle considering time may be running out so hit me up.
