With January coming to an end, most new year's resolutions have, sadly, been put on the back burner until next year. However, your happiness should be a priority in your life because if your not happy, life isn't enjoyable. Most people try to be more positive, but don't know how to apply the positive mindset. Adding these small, little things into your life can put you one step ahead towards a happy life.
1. Make time for yourself.
Whether it be time to soak in a nice, hot bathtub or binge on the latest Ted Bundy Netflix series, make sure there is time in your day free of stress and responsibility.
2. Eat breakfast!
I used to think by not eating breakfast I was doing myself a favor by saving on the calories, but really not eating breakfast can hinder your mental and physical abilities...And it tastes ~really~ good.
3. Do your ~best~ not to complain.
I get it… At times, life really isn't going your way and letting it out does make you feel better. However, try to cut back on complaining about absolutely everything. It will make YOU a happier person, and people will probably like being around you more, too.
4. Surround yourself with positive people!
Just like how people will more likely enjoy being around you if you are positive, surround yourself with positive people. You will be surprised at how much your outlook will change.
5. Drink lots of water!
I know this is so cliche, but believe me, it does WONDERS. You will feel less sluggish and more awake throughout the whole day.
6. Get your work done as early as possible!
We are in college, almost everyone waits until the last minute to do things. It is amazing how much better you will feel if you get what you need to get done at the beginning of the day and have the rest of the day to do whatever you want:)
7. Listen to music.
Music is definitely my go to no matter what mood I am in! Finding different artists and songs that make you happy is an easy way to add some positive vibes to your day!
