Positivity Takes You a Long Way in Life

What is the opposite of negativity? Positivity is and many people I know do not feed off positivity. Negativity is a never ending cycle of bad emotions and thoughts that will just stagger your life goals. Everyone one time in their life will have those bad thoughts in the back of their mind that hold them back from doing something. I realized that you yourself have to train your mind to be positive and other fallbacks will come your way. Everyone has obstacles that they have to face, but whether you handle them correctly is what defines the line of positivity and negativity. There are many things in life that can get someone's mind in the right direction and away from the horrible thoughts. I have two things that I've enjoyed doing since I was about eleven years old and I would never think twice about performing these actions. Honestly, I love helping people which were my first passion and keeping minds in that right mindset. Some people need that guidance to keep them going through the day and continue that throughout their life. Stress will only lead to less progress towards helping others and yourself, positivity will only decline.

The second thing in my life that I am passionate about is Basketball. Basketball is a sport that is competitive like every other sport, but it is also team-oriented. If one does not work as a team, it will be difficult to win and people will not be able to cope with that loss. I always used to play basketball when I was younger because I saw it as a sport that I would enjoy playing and it was a great way to meet others. Sports have the social aspect and that positive vibe competitively that others brush off upon. When people play sports it makes them come together as one and cooperate to make a decision that will win them that match. It can resemble happiness and motivation to keep someone going. This sport expresses approval at most times and complimentary ideas to make others think that positivity spreads immensely. Someone's passion for something can take that person far in life.

To wrap things up, positivity will only bring goodness to one's life and help others cope with things that are not subtle to be coped with. The things that I am passionate about, including Basketball and helping others with their problems, has shown me that life is about thinking greatly ahead than backwards. People must know that positivity can take you a long way and going forward will be the only direction in your life, backwards is just a thing of the past.

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
