We humans are so weak and so impressionable that we believe almost anything we hear or see without question or research. We are so impressionable that we allow our individuality to be inspired and greatly influenced by those who are simulated personalities of the media. Those "role models" are tools. Tools used to mold the minds of our young and upcoming generations, those who hold our future.
Sometimes the constant bombardment by social media’s portrayal of who we should be, gravely allows us to forget who we are. So sad because what social media doesn’t tell us and what social media doesn’t want us to know is how beautiful we truly are. You are so beautiful if only you knew. It becomes a challenge to look at yourself and love yourself for who you are. It becomes a challenge to love your suburban small town while others live in luxury in some of the world's most wanted destinations. It really just makes you feel like your life sucks. This is because we live in a generation that lives through social media rather than real life experiences. We have forgotten what it is to love ourselves and all that we are composed of. We compete rather than empower. We find it more important to be indulged in the drama of the rich and the famous rather than in our world's current issues. What we do not realize is that we are tools as well.
The party will go on if you aren't there. The world will continue around you. Always remember social media is not real life, never let somebody else's pictures or experiences make you feel insecure about yourself. Admiring someone else's beauty does not take away from your own. If you don't look like her and she does not look like you, that is how it is meant to be. You are meant to be you and no one else, your body is your home so love and respect it. When you look after it beautiful things happen. Let the secret out and spread it like wildfire. Everyday you wake up you are immediately given two options, to see the world in light or to see the world in darkness. Will you be a positive tool or a negative tool?
