Often times we are overcome by negative vibes and it's difficult to see the positive scheme of things. We must always remember: if we're in the midst of our personal darkness, the light is always there and here for us.

From a young age, we are told,

"Life is a blessing, never take it for granted."

On the contrary, life is dreary and cold,

leaving the once enchanted disenchanted.

I cannot fathom why heartbreak must exist,

or why evil seems to win.

Among the darkness, it is light I have missed.

In the peak of my life, can a new one begin?


When your heart is tangled in a twist,

and leaves your soul empty within,

it is important to remember, it is okay to feel adrift.

To attain happiness, we must never resist

greeting every day with a lighthearted grin,

because life is an extraordinary gift.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
