As the New Year arrives, so do the endless talks of New Year’s resolutions. The most common ones you hear people saying are “I’m going to work out every day,” or “I’m going to start eating healthy!” Most of the time people’s resolutions never end up staying throughout the year, and often times end within the month of January. I know myself along with many others have all the intent of bettering ourselves, but we just get lazy. Below are some of the most popular resolutions that people never end up completing:
Going to the gym everyday
In the month of January, any gym you go to is completely packed…. until February. The resolution people tend to scurry out by the dozens, and once February hits, its back to the normal gym goers.
Eating healthy
This is a pretty common one. Most people tend to follow this pretty religiously for a couple weeks, then just get tired of meal preps and missing out on all the junk food. One taste of junk food and they’re back to their old habits.
Spend less, save more
Most adults, including myself have great intentions of saving money, but then realize all the wonderful things you can be spending your money on, and BAM…. no more money. It’s a bummer looking at your bank account that consists of $5.
Getting organized
It’s great being organized, yet it takes so much time. Cleaning up all the garbage that lies around your house takes time, and many people get tired of it before getting organized, so the deed goes undone.
Stop procrastinating
Well, we all know where this ends up….
Be less stressed
Well this seems like a great resolution until you end up with 3 papers and 2 tests in a week. Thanks college.
Get more sleep
A lot of people try to do this, yet it never seems to work out. When work gets piled on or binge watching Netflix and not knowing where the time went, it ends up being 2 a.m. and you have to be up in 6 hours.
Travel more
This seems like a great idea until you look up airfare and hotels and realize everything costs so much money.
Don’t be lazy
I tell myself everyday I’m not going to be lazy and look where I end up, laying in my bed on my phone. Most people tell themselves they’re going to go out and do stuff then don’t feel like actually going.
Less technology
I have to say, in this day and age this is an awful resolution. We’re so technologically based nowadays that you can’t really go a day without using technology. Most people say they’ll use their phone less, but 10 minutes later their phone is 5 inches from their face.
