Why Pope Francis Has The Best Twitter Account

@Pontifex, in my opinion, offers any individual short blurbs of guidance every time he tweets. Although he is the main figurehead for the Catholic Church, Pope Francis is a cute, older man who not only has wisdom beyond words, but is able to communicate Catholic teachings to everyday people. No matter what religious affiliation you may have, it is possible to gain insight on how to live better through his posts, even if they may be Catholic in nature. Even in a world that has somewhat strayed from religion, Pope Francis is able to communicate Bible passages to those who may not be fully educated on them. The Bible is often steered away from just because it is considered to be too strict or too conservative, but it offers lessons that any individual, religious or not, could follow. Whether you are in a tough spot in life, or are looking for ways to enlighten yourself and become a better person all around, Pope Francis is speaking to you. Here are some examples, of my personal favorites, that I believe everyone deserves to see.

@Pontifex: January 9th, 2017: There can be no true peace if everyone claims always and exclusively his or her own rights, without caring for the good of others.

@Pontifex: May 9th, 20: Let us learn to live with kindness, to love everyone, even when they do not love us.

@Pontifex: December 21st, 2016: Mercy gives rise to joy, because our hearts are opened to the hope of a new life.

@Pontifex: April 14th, 2016: Love is the only light which can constantly illuminate a world grown dim.

@Pontifex: June 18th, 2015: Let us sing as we go. May our struggles and our concern for this planet never take away the joy of our hope.

@Pontifex: October 11th, 2016: To live joyfully we must let go of anger, wrath, violence, and revenge.

@Pontifex: July 28th, 2016: A merciful heart has the courage to leave comforts behind and to encounter others, embracing everyone

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
