I just started playing Minecraft about a month ago when my boyfriend introduced me to it. After playing it for a while with him I took the plunge and got it on my laptop. The first world I am currently working in has been quite the challenge mostly because I didn't go through the tutorial. Now that I have been playing the game for a few days though on my own I have figured out how to do quite a few things such as mine and farm really well.
Navigation has never been one of my strong suits, hence how I lost my way and ended up building a massive castle at least a thousand blocks away from my original base (which was nothing much to look at if I'm being honest). I get lost easily in the real world so, I wasn't really surprised that the first thing I did in the game was get lost. The funny part is, how lost I got. I was barely a few blocks away from the primary base that I built, yet I got so lost that I ended up building a castle on a mountain very far away from my respawn point.

I lost this castle because I got killed in the game by a monster and ended up respawning at my original base. This is how I figured out that if you want to reset your respawn point you have to take the original bed you make with you. You could also destroy it, but I am not so sure I want to do that yet.
In this first Minecraft world that I have been working on, I have died at least one hundred times. Most of the deaths occurred today while I was attempting to build a massive bridge across my world to find my castle. It wasn't the greatest structure I could have ever built, I just want to know where it is and it's going to be a while before I am going to have everything that I need to build a map with a locator in it.
