At a time when the country is as divisive as ever, people need to understand the fundamental principles of a particular political ideology and where they stand on certain issues. This will allow individuals to find a consensus among other political ideologies and unite under solving common issues. The Pew Research Center has a helpful quiz that gives an ideology that relates most to your views and beliefs. Please visit http://www.people-press.org/quiz/political-typolog... to find out. The website Information Is Beautiful provides a wonderful infographic on the two main political bodies - the 'left' and the 'right'.

Of course not all the characteristics of an ideology will define a person, but it is important to know the variety of the way people think and believe how individuals, society, and the government could work together to make the world a better place. Despite all the differences between ideologies, we all want what is best for us and our country. Hopefully, we can keep all our differences in mind while striving for unity through a common purpose.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
