On July 6, 2016, Niantic made many people's childhood dream of exploring the world of Pokemon and catching them come true. If it weren't for the developers, we would have never been able to live out what we watched for years on television. It was something we Pokémon fans had wanted forever but are now finally able to do and could not be any happier with what Niantic had created.
We could finally search for Pokémon in the real world--and even catch them with our virtual poke balls which was something every Pokemon fan wanted to experience since the start of the Pokemon series. But this was just the beginning for us the trainers of encountering and catching those wild Pocket Monsters.
Just as how items are used to train and heal Pokémon in the series, the same was also done in Pokémon Go. Using candies to increase the level of each Pokémon is essential to strengthening them to face any opponent coming their way. You would never want a weak Pokémon going into a battle. But if this did happen, there are an assortment of potions and revives to nurse your Pokémon back into the fighting shape necessary to continue. They are never left unaided.
Battling with other trainers is also part of the game's excitement--and that became the test of our Pokémon's endurance. Their fighting to the best of their abilities--despite them being victorious or not--helps us gauge our successes and need for improvement. There are challenges throughout the game, and our thirst for improvement just makes the experience that much more memorable. There is never a dull moment.
Pokémon Go gives fans a first-hand experience into the competitive world of Pokemon, allowing them to journey into the wild and catch the creatures they want. But Niantic not only brought the Pokemon universe to us but also made the childhood fantasies of many a reality. This has arguably made the game a hit since its release.
Us fans had always wanted to catch Pokémon since the days of Ash and Pikachu. Now we can finally say we got the chance to catch and encounter Pokemon in the wild, to live out part of our childhood dreams.
