It's been roughly a week since the new Pokémon Go game has been released. It hit the market hard, raising billions of dollars for Nintendo. Despite the few bugs, the app keeps growing. People everywhere are playing and I don't blame them. I, myself play the game and I have never been happier. I didn't start playing until about three days after the release date. I totally regret it. I should've started playing when it first came out. Initially, I thought the game would be a total fail, but since I began this journey to become the best Pokémon Master, I can't stop. I play everywhere I can. Parks and monuments are gold mines for Pokéstops and Pokémon, especially when others use their lure modules. I thank those people from the bottom of my heart. You guys are the real ones. I see so many people out playing that it's actually really nice to see people getting out and having fun. Of course though, where there are lovers of the game, there are haters. For all you haters out there, stop. I've come across so many complaints, accusations, and insults from non-players and you are so annoying. Don't hate until you play because Pokémon Go is awesome. Here's why:

1. Reliving childhood days

Pokémon was a real big hit around the late '90s. It grew very popular, expanding from the TV to show to game consoles. As a '90s kid, I loved Pokémon . Pokémon Go lets me enjoy it all over again. Thank you Nintendo.

2. Bringing people together

I see people ranging from all different ages go Pokémon hunting in singles, couples, groups. No matter what, people are going out and meeting new people. We aren't committing a crime, we're bonding over a harmless game. We are coming together as a community.

3. Getting people active

Although I am an avid Netflix watcher, Netflix never encouraged me to go out and walk. Pokémon Go thrives on exploring the world around us. In order to hatch eggs, we have to walk 2+ km. To find Pokémon, we have to walk around because not all the Pokémon are going to find you. The main thing is, is that people are going out and getting some exercise. It might not stop obesity, but I'm sure it's helping out.

4. Getting people to explore

It goes hand in hand with getting people active, but the gold is at parks, monuments, museums, etc. People are traveling to different places just to play this game and are discovering places they've never been to. Here, we as players are exploring what our world has to offer. At least we're not all cooped up at home. Just be cautious and aware of your surroundings. It's your fault if you aimlessly run into traffic. Sorry not sorry. Please play responsibly.

5. Making people happy

This game has brought me an immense amount of joy. I don't know why it's so exciting to find Pokémon, but it just is. If this games makes me, a typical millennial happy, I can't imagine how beneficial it is for people who suffer from different medical conditions. For example, I've heard the game can reduce stress and tension and help with depression. The fact that a simple game can do this is awesome in and of itself.

These are only some of the reasons why Pokémon Go is awesome. It's so much fun and only a non-player will hate it. It'll be such a better app once the bugs are fixed because I know it can only grow from here. I'm just out here trying to be the best. *Queue* "I want to be the very best, like no one ever was..."

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
