Every now and then someone might walk into your life and change your outlook and how you feel about things. Sometimes a change of perception is really beneficial and I was really fortunate to have this happen to me. I never knew how much just making 1 friend this past year could make me smile so much more and this is a thank you poem

Thank you for being the light in the dark hallway

Thank you for giving me a reason to smile in my darkest days

Even when smiling seems impossible

Thank you for making the small joys in my life seem so much bigger

For making me laugh

Even when all I want to do is give everyone the finger

Thank you for showing me angels do exist

Thank you for soaring through my life,

Maybe not with wings

But by showing you truly are that fly

For every moment I share speaking with you

Lifts my spirits high

Thank you for taking my meaningless comments when I don't know what to say

And laughing or going along to the point they give truer meaning to me

I thank life for letting us miraculously meet

And I pray to never throw it away

But I thank you the most for helping me to feel cared for

In a world where it's so easy to feel pushed away

I just hope one day to pull you into a deep hug

Because you do mean that much to me
