The energy courses through my veins

Every strike pulsates through my chest and strikes my heart

The noise beats at my ear drums relentlessly

The wind bellows through the air striking everything in its wake

The sky lights up, powered by the current that litters throughout

Each strike makes my heart race, it's exhilarating

I smile as each strike moves closer and closer

The hairs on my neck rise and I can feel the goosebumps on my skin

There's something about danger that excites me

It's like playing with fire.

Each strike that reaches the ground rattles the Earth to its core

I wonder if everyone recognizes the beauty along with the danger

I wonder if they realize that the Earth has ample opportunity to take from us

The place that we call home grants us mercy each day we are allowed to walk across it

And I also wonder if the rest of the world sees my power

For I have lightning in my veins

And my power is limitless.

College students, you might be able to relate to this one. These probably sound familiar because we often tell ourselves these phrases; however, we are unable to follow or agree with these the following, deep down inside of our overwhelmed, tired minds.

1. "No more spending money on useless things"

Until you walk into a 99 cents store and suddenly have the urge to pick up anything that's less than a dollar.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.
