For the one who's still trying.

It doesn't seem like much

It may seem like I've given up

But know deep down

I'm trying

I may seem like I've accepted a fate

Like I've come to terms with negativity

I seem as though I'll stay this way forever

But know deep down

I'm trying

Regardless of how it seems from the outside

You won't know the construction on the inside

I'm working to change

Working on fixing myself

I'm trying

And though I speak through old cliches

Things said a million times

That makes it no less valid

No less legitimate

At the end of the day, no matter how it's said,

I'm trying

When all seems lost

And there is but little hope

I will not give up

I will not wave my flag in surrender

I will try again.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
