This is an excerpt from a poetry book I keep. I often write and doodle original creations in this book when feeling inspired. In efforts to spread more poetry through Odyssey, I thought I would share one of my poems with the community.
The Most Mystifying Sound
If I had to describe the color yellow
To one who could not see
I would explain it as the warmth
I feel when the sun shines down on me
If I were to describe love
To one who could not feel
I would say that it may be better
That what they experience doesn't seem real
But if I had to write about your laugh
To one who could not hear
My pen would know not what to write
Because that sound is far too dear
