This poem is a metaphor to show that whatever pain or negativity you are going through is not permanent and will soon float away.
Our lives are like a mere ship
Or so we think
That no one will come to save us
And we're stuck in a deep abyss
It's silly
To believe we're all lost in the ocean
Or we won't ever see the blue skies, when really
The waves are safe, unlike our minds
That is slowly losing sanity day by day
You're drowning in your pain, but don't say
That you need the company to help you through your own shipwreck
You aren't sinking. You aren't sinking.
You aren't digging into the sea
I know you cannot breathe
But instead of swearing off the sea urchins
Think that they are actually quite pretty, lurking
In your sea
Don't be afraid to feel so free
Or lift yourself up light and feathery
Because you aren't sinking.
