As I continue to fight against evil, I am noticing my beauty more and more each day. And with noticing my beauty, I am starting to see the beauty in everyone around me as well. Not just outer beauty, but the beauty that lives within us all. I wrote this, based on how I feel about myself and others.

Oh honey if only you knew

Oh honey
If only you knew the beauty you have
The skin you carry
The musical organs in you
Your vocal chords like a guitar
Strummed to a T bringing sound of delight
Warming souls like the sun that rises everyday
Your lungs like clarinets and saxophones
Making me dance all night long
To your heart beating like beating a drum
Making my feet feel like a brush wanting to paint the canvass floor

From earth to heaven
To your skin
Draping down into the ground like a bed sheet
When your soul reaches the heavens one day
Your soul turns the sprinkles on in the sky
Nurturing the seeds and your skin down in the ground
Creating a garden for your beauty is nourishment to us all

Oh honey if you'll see the beauty you carry with you all day long RIGHT NOW
From your smile that makes my heart jump like a child seeing candy in the distance
From your arms embracing me like a mom does to her children
To your laughter that lights up any darkness

Oh honey if you'd only knew the beauty that you are indeed.

We aren't walking through mirrors everyday
We are walking though eyes that are windows to the mind
And honey you...you have the most beautiful eyes for your story
For their shape, their look orchestrates the musical that is you

Oh honey if you'd only listen to the song that lives in your soul
You'd see the beauty that everyone knows
But is trying to capture your attention
Like that guy that stares at you in the party from his table smiling and you bowing your head in embarrassment
When he looks at you and hears that beautiful song
The song that wants you to dance with it throughout life

Lift your head up princess
And dance to the song
Your life is the party of the century
Let us dance with you

Oh honey I hope you know the beauty that lives in you.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

winter

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
