Break Even
I didn't know it'd be so soon,
I thought I'd have more time.
But now, I stand outside and see you
through the foggy, condensed window,
Smiling at the touch of his hand.
Your porcelain glowing with a faint blush
of love and passion dancing.
I can't bring you back.
My sins have been committed,
my grave, buried.
You're gone,
long gone and happy.
And here lies my broken heart,
transfusing whatever's left.
As your hands crumble it in dust.
And my somber cries fall on deaf ears.
