Since the summer, I've been really into reading and collecting poem books. Every poem, no matter how long or how short, tells a different, unique and personal story. I can relate to so many of the poems in all the these books that I decided to try to write one. I decided to make this poem related to one of my previous articles.
I Wasn't Ready
I wasn't ready but you wanted to
You said it didn't matter
But it was clear that it did
You said we could stop at anytime
Yet that all changed once it started
It's all you cared about
And it's all you wanted
I played along in fear of the unknown
But it's over now
What's done is done
And it too late to change it
Now you'll always have a part of me
That I'll never get back
