End of the week, start of the fun
Start of relaxation, ‘til the stress returns Mon
Alarm wakes me up, I peep out the window, squint at the sun
And just tell myself to deal with it, this week’s done in one
Shower, shave, succumb to the sleeplessness
Pour cold water in my face and wonder what week this is
Got nothing major today, and can thankfully say
It should turn out to be a pretty smooth day
But I walk out the door, with the heat on my ass
Run in a packed bus like are these kids going to class?
No seat, standing, waiting to get out and walk to the train
Knowing damn well once I’m at the station, the waiting's the same
Fast forward, I’m late, say “I’m breaking the habit”
My boss stares, wondering if she should let me have it
Walks away, giving me a pass on a platter
Probably thinking “it doesn’t even matter”
I head to supervise staff, make a left then a right
Stop for a second and see something ain’t right
A kid, complaining to a staff about how he can do what he wants cause it’s his right
So I set him straight as the staff tells me he was “handling it” …right
Head back to the office and start doing work
Emails and such, while the AC doesn’t work
I melt away in my chair, trying not to go berserk
‘til I peep the time, and clock out with a smirk
Q66, F train and off to the gym
Work a sweat, walk out in the heat, Q38's here? Don't mind if I hop in
Head home and plan the night because, I need to have fun
No offense to my coworkers, but over there I have none
The night is set and I’m ready to go
Happy hour invite, I’m ready to show
Train did me right, by not going slow
Walk to the bouncer, whip out my wallet… NO
Forgot my ID, and I know they’re going to need it
I look young as hell, so people would wonder why they’re letting a teen in
I'm not gonna beg, if I can't get in, so be it
What a start and what an end, they’re all having fun in there, and Snapchat’s where I’ll see it
