Men are like candy stores. There are various assortments to choose from. Salty, sweet, sour. Pick your own poison.
But here are the issues with Candy Stores:
I.Everyone's hand has been through the merchandise. It makes the product unappealing. Making it so undesirable that no one wants to come in contact with. No one wants sloppy seconds.
II.Candy stores have windows. Everyone gets a sneak peek.So there’s is nothing left in store for a surprise. The only privacy you get is during certain periods of the day.
III.Sometimes it gets crowded. If you’re the slim percent of the population, that actually likes waiting, then kudos to you. But if you’re not, you will end up leaving and giving your spot to someone else.
IV. Eventually, the good stock of candy runs out and you’re left with the undesirables, the infelicitous. But somehow you settle. Trying to fill the need for immediate gratification. But how can you possibly fill something so extensive by merely settling?
V. It’s addicting. Remember, it is possible to have too much of something. It becomes detrimental to your wellbeing. You start losing yourself.
Men are like candy stores.
The good candy sells out fast. We either wait for the restock unless the product is too high in demand and the waiting game begins. But how long are you willing to wait? Forever?
Forever is a long time.
Not everyone can wait that long with certainty. It’s just not in their blood, so they settle. For which they settle often doesn’t equate to what they truly deserve. When people settle, they settle for OK relationships, OK job, living an OK life. But OK isn’t thrilling, it’s not amusing. It’s dull, boring, bland.
One day you will be passing by the candy store, and you’ll peer through the window and get a quick glimpse of everything you’ve ever desired.
But too bad it took you too long to realize that whatever or whomever you want exists.
No matter how much you, try to pretend, there will always be a sense of regret. Regret that you decided to settle for something less than excellent. Just because something is available doesn’t mean you should go after it. There will always be something of higher value.
