When you first hear about a deadline coming up to complete an assignment, you have the thought pop into your head, "I should get started now to get it done." But then you think, "No I still I have plenty of time." Eventually, this turns into, "I will do it later." A few days before it is due, this is when you start to worry because you have not started, and you have to sacrifice sleep to get it done.

The Deep Hole Procrastination Sucked Me Into

I should get started on this assignment.

No, it has been a long day.

I do not feel like doing it anyway.

I still have plenty of time.

Today, I just want to unwind.

I will do it later.

A few days before the deadline...

I need to do this assignment.

This is the day when the all-nighters start.

I hope I will not fall apart.

I need to stop being lazy.

It is not worth it to drive yourself crazy.

What is the lesson here?

Do not wait until the last minute.

At first, it will not be easy.

But it will be worth it when you feel happier.

Stop procrastinating before it is too late.

Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.

However, we all know that the holidays have overall changed a little from what they used to be.
