There is a difference

Between growing up

And growing old.

One is an option,

Not so much.

Age is just a number.

It defines nothing but

A physical phenomenon.

It represents not

A child always dreams of

Swimming in between the highest clouds,

Diving in the deepest oceans,

Climbing the tallest mountains.

But when awake,

They wish nothing else

But to grow up.

An adult always dreams of

But when awake,

They wish nothing else,

But to go back.

We share human desires

To do the impossible.

And as time passes by,

We grow old.

But it will always be up to us

To grow up.
