Inevitable: Before and After: Poem on Odyssey

"...regardless if they were your sunshine or darkness, what will always stay inevitably is the sun and the moon."

Inevitable: Before and After: Poem on Odyssey

I just thought of a wonderful concept: people come and go in life.

It sounds cliche, but it's true.

It is the inevitable nature of life, of people's mentality sometimes. They could have been the light of your life, or the darkest souls alive.

They say one thing, then the next, they're gone. It could be days, months, or years, and the, "I'll never leave your life" line, forever diminishes.

I guess it is easier said than done, to forget them and move on with life... but it's been said to always appreciate their existence in your life. They have taught valuable life lessons for others you will meet in your future life - of who you choose to be involved with, and who not to be involved with.

What's funny is that even if these people are just being washed away into a distant memory, there is one secret to tie this tragedy together into one.

Even when people walk out of your life, regardless if they were your sunshine or darkness, what will always stay inevitably is the sun and the moon.

No matter how extraordinary or devastating a day in a lifetime may seem be, both the sun and moon will always rise and set.

The sun is a remembrance of those who symbolized the light of your life and showered you with happiness. The moon is a remembrance of those dark souls that were once a part of your life, who you affiliate with negativity and hurt. No matter how dark the path they led you on, the sun will always rise sooner or later in the end.

We can take great knowledge from the dark and appreciating the light that will guide us in the right direction, even after the misery of the dark.

What seems to always be forgotten is that no matter how dark a person may make life seem, there is always that bit of light shining - the beautiful, sculpted, crisp, white moon, reminding us we are not alone - that good things will come about the situation.

This is to guide us on the path of experiencing greatness.

Things will remain okay while being drawn and absorbed into the rays of sunshine cast down on us. No matter who comes and goes, the sun and the moon reminds us there is light which will never leave our life. The sun and moon will continue to rise and fall every day and night- no matter what happens in life.

The sun and moon prove inevitably life will continue on, even if people choose to hurt or leave our life.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
