A Poem: Who You Are

A Poem: Who You Are

When you enter the room

you may wonder who you are.

You may question your views

or the values you choose.

You may question your friends,

your parents, and trends.

You may wonder about the future

and the very big picture.

You may think that you're worthless

and wish to give up.

But you just can't.

You can't give up and

you can't give in because

you are so much greater than

any little thing.

You have people who love you

who want you to succeed

and who will help with all that you need.

They want to be there for you,

so let them.

Allow them into your life.

Bring on the troubles and trials and strife

because ultimately? This is for you, this is your life.

Any other way just wouldn't be right.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
