Life wasn't always like this
It was a vastly different place—
Tormented by the bitterness of the world;
The governance of corruption,
Encapsulating the masses through unrelenting acts of malevolence
However, among this profound dark was a radiating light—
Light that beckoned
Light that evoked peace, prosperity
It seemed like a dream—
Something cultivated by my optimistic imagination—
A means through which I could escape
The tyranny of the world
I took the leap of faith,
Into newfound abundance
The immense change
Soon thereafter, it absorbed me
Indifference substituted by strength
Strength followed by success
It only seems like yesterday
I took the leap of faith
To go against what others say, to keep my family safe
It has been so long since then, I really must profess
But what I really have to say is
Red, white, and blue is the best.
