I've been with my amazing boyfriend for almost two years, and I know we're settling into the next part of our relationship: post-honeymoon. The honeymoon phase is known for putting rose-tinted glasses on people and making your partner seem more magnificent than they are.

People think their partner is perfect, that their relationship is perfect. Everything is bright and full of colors and sparkly.

Obviously, none of that lasts. No person or relationship is perfect, and the world can't always be glowing with the love you hold for your partner. My boyfriend and I went into our relationship knowing these things, but that didn't stop me from thinking it all anyway.

The power of the honeymoon phase is strong, but I'd like to think I have always been prepared for the end of it.

For the past few weeks, I've been thinking about how things will change once the honeymoon phase has ended and what I've been noticing with our relationship recently.

I think the honeymoon phase is starting to fade as my rose-tinted glasses fade back to being clear and boring, but that won't stop me from loving my wonderful man or enjoying what we have.

For me, B isn't thought about at all.

It's A all the way.

Relationship starts—everything goes bright
And colorful
And lovely.

The honeymoon phase is the best time in the relationship
Because everything feels so good
Because there's no reason to fight.

Estimates can't seem to agree on when it ends
But like most things
It comes to an end.

This is when the real relationship begins.

Their quirks and bad habits become less adorable:
A) It's part of who they are and who you love
B) They're annoying and unbearable

Time away from them doesn't feel so bad anymore:
A) It makes the relationship stronger
B) You crave more time away

The world seems less rosy than it was before:
A) It's still comfortable and warm and cozy
B) There's no real reason to stay

Things aren't as electric as they once were:
A) Little things make it exciting again
B) Someone new has a spark

A and B aren't always a choice you get to make.

The honeymoon phase ends
And sometimes it's A
And sometimes it's B.

We don't buy into these... just like how we don't buy our friends.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
