Dear Grandma
During the holidays, We give thanks for all that we have. But I’d like to give a special shout out to you.
So grab a seat and tissue because this might be hard to grasp.
Thank you.
For every diaper you changed and every time you had to babysit me because Mom was working late.
Thank you for every weekend we spent together, in warm or cold weather
and for all the bread-pudding and cookies you baked.
Thank you for being my best friend.
Thank you for taking me shopping every year,
putting up with my attitude, and wiping my tears.
Thank you for letting me spend holidays at your place
while counting down the New Year, and decorating your space.
Thank you for always having faith in me and always seeing the very best that I could be.
Thank you for letting me sleep in your bed, when I had a nightmare. Those Rated-R movies I wasn’t allowed to watch did give me quite a scare.
Thank you.
For loving me and spoiling me as much as you possibly can.
Now it’s my turn to do the spoiling, don’t worry, that trip to Paris is still in our plans.
Your loving Granddaughter,
Chantay
