My Forever Best Friend

Mom, you've been there for me the last 18 years

Through laughs, cheers, and tears.

You've been my #1 fan through it all,

No matter how old I get, I am never too old to give you a call.

Thank you for dancing to country with me at 1 in the morning

There's never a moment with you that's boring.

Thank you for putting our family before you

Thank you for helping me on the days I felt blue.

You've always carried yourself with such grace

And with your radiant smile, you light up every place.

Your corny jokes are enough to make me laugh

You are my better half.


For the numerous times you proved me wrong,

and all the times you stayed strong,

Through everything, you remained calm.

You've been the absolute best mom.

I know our strong bond will never end

Because you are my forever best friend.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
