A Poem For the 45th President

Donald Trump,

I am scared.

I am angry.

I am motivated.

But most of all, I am confused.

Why is this okay?

14 executive decisions: 7 days of power.

Wait, excuse me, I mean 7 days of working for us.

But you have 1,461 days in office.

Does that mean 2,922 executive decisions?

You deny help to the ones most in need.

And seclude the people who are just trying to live a good life.

To the Syrians and to the Muslims,

To the undocumented and the Latinos,

And to the females and to the people of color and to those who are transgender,

To those who are any sexuality besides "straight",

To those who are dying of cancer and need proper health care,

To those who need Planned Parenthood,

To those who are dying from unclean water in Flint,

To the Native Americans who are being disrespected and thrown from their own property,

To the Earth who may not have 1461 days to survive under your presidency,

Why is this okay?

I am a little concerned that I am having trouble mentioning all of the groups that are feeling marginalized right now.

This is thanks to your fascist ways

You say you want to help the "American" people

I hope you know that American does not mean those who are "white and privileged".

Americans are DIVERSE.

Americans are mostly Immigrants,

but don't forget about the Natives, either

Americans are from countries all over the world,

of different religions, different identities, different backgrounds,

and different experiences.

Once you recognize that being "American" is interior, not exterior.

Not based on the amount of sun your ancestors were exposed to,

but whether or not you agree that "ALL men [and women] were created equal"

then maybe you will make it through all 4 years without impeachment.

Donald, you are living in your own version of The Allegory of the Cave.

I beg you, Mr. Trump.

Please look around.

We don't need a wall; we need bridges.

We don't need to ban innocent people; we need to ban guns.

We don't need ignorance; we need science.

We don't need Betsy DeVos; we need someone who understands the importance of education.

Stop banning every little thing that could allow this country to thrive.

When men with big egos gain power,

They turn into villains.

If Captain America was here, he would be disappointed.

But here is the thing, there is a little bit of captain america in each and every one of us.

If we fight hard, we can save the world.

We can save the world from the dark side.

The dark side that is you, Mr. Trump.

Just in a week, we saw marches all around the world.

People standing together.

More than 3 million people who agree that you are an unfit president.

So get this Donald Trump: you will not divide this world.

America was great and respected, prior to your tweetership.

Now, we are the opposite.

Without immigrants, this country would be nothing.

And without immigrants, you would have had no wives.

The only one who needs to be banned from entering America is you.

Because it seems like you are the biggest threat to this country.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
