Consent is important. It always was and will be.

You must learn to read people like you do your books, your smartphones, tablets, looks, you must learn to read people.

Learn to read the silent gestures and the loud ones, the tresses - the faults - the words peppered over the body - some kisses, some gunshots.

Learn to read the lips that often need an ear to whisper into not to kiss. learn to read spaces like silence, both don't need to be filled.

Learn to read words because a hi isn't a green light to devour the body and strip it into pieces.

Learn to read letters. yes, no, yes, no, no, no, NO.

Learn to read people because a hand can be held but it can also be turned into a fist made of thousands of words that all say survive

Learn to read, learn to read people, learn to read people because it's the right thing to do.
