Hugging my parents as they head out my dorm room door

Wiping away tears and finishing the decor

Checking the time for 4:30 p.m, where I meet who's all on my floor

Making new friends and finding out where everyone is from

Excited for the week's festivities and meeting new people, including alum

Running through the columns and eating tiger stripe ice cream, yum!

Finding out my roommate and I share the same birthday

It that how they paired us?...no way!

Family is here for Labor Day weekend, I'm 18 years old today!

Walking 22 minutes across campus to my 10 a.m. class

Listening to a Spotify playlist while unfamiliar faces pass

Signed up for Mizzou Rec cycling that basically kicked my…..

Obsessing over the stir fry at the dining hall

Dreading Sunday nights when the laundry room is a complete free-for-all

Counting down the days until break, where I won't need to give my mom a facetime call

Reserving Monday nights for Bachelorette viewing

Hiking, hammocking and sunset brewing

Exploring Columbia, Missouri with my pals...what else would we be doing?

Traveled with magazine club….what up New York, I'm here!

Now it's second semester and time for the snow to disappear

Rushed Kappa Alpha Theta….highlight of the new year

Now it's present day….let's get you up to date

Playing intramural soccer, Tuesday night's at 8

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
