I know that feeling I get
when I'm enveloped by
your embrace.
Though for others, you don't seem
to give off that radiance.
Indeed, not many see you as a form of solace.
How could they? It's not the best thing
seeing splotches across the 'walk.
Nor is it really ideal for even one drop
to be absorbed by my socks.
But I'm not one to give much mind.
Giving too much to simplicity
is an injustice to its beauty.
For I know the feeling I get is justified;
the mundane of your dark blue hue
is an adventure all on its own.
