Summer 2018 is rapidly approaching, and with summer comes an intense desire for a good summer playlist. I've decided that (for me, at least) this summer is going to be one of vintage vibes without outdated ideals, which makes Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox the perfect source for my summer 2018 playlist. So, here are the best Postmodern Jukebox songs for summer 2k18, definitively ranked by me.
1. Such Great Heights
Honestly, this song is underappreciated in general, but Kiah Victoria's voice just makes it.
2. Worth It
This cover is an entire party if I'm being honest. It definitely isn't chill like I usually want my summer songs to be, but that's fine. It's fine. It's nearly perfect anyway.
3. It Wasn't Me
Again, not chill, but certainly a lot of fun.
4. Barbie Girl
Don't even look at me if you don't think Barbie Girl is one of the best songs of any generation. The Beach Boys vibes of this song makes me feel like I should be dancing on a beach in a retro-style high-waisted polka-dot bikini.
5. I Kissed A Girl
I am admittedly weak for the doo-wop style.
6. Stacy's Mom
Casey Abrams is perfection in anything he does. Don't @ me on this, or do! I don't care, I only care that this is amazing and high-energy and so fun.
7. Closer
We aren't pretending Closer isn't a total bop, right? Because it is. It always will be, and it fits the vintage vibes so well.
8. Are You Gonna Be My Girl
This is another total jam, and Addie Hamilton's voice is quite frankly perfect for it.
9. Love Yourself
I just have to give a quick shout-out to Scott Bradlee and Postmodern Jukebox for allowing me to enjoy this song without having to listen to Justin Bieber.
10. I Believe In A Thing Called Love
This song is the specific feeling of me driving home at 8:30 pm on a mid-June Sunday night, with my hair in a ponytail but still flying all over the place because the sun roof is open and the windows are down, and everything is okay.
