You've seen it all over your news feed. You've probably heard about it from friends who've started taking it. Or maybe you even know someone who's an ambassador for them. I'm talking about Plexus Worldwide.

Founded in 2006, the origins of this company had a very interesting beginning. The first and only product being sold by Plexus before the company changed hands was the Breast Chek kit. This was there to help women screen themselves for breast cancer. But when the founder of the company discovered that he had a fatal illness, he decided to sell the company to the current president of Plexus. From there, the president found an investor, and together they decided to change the compensation plan so that the ambassadors of Plexus were treated as partners. "The Plexus Plan" made it so that ambassadors could receive a part of the profits of the company if certain conditions were met.

When the recession hit, the company decided to throw out a cream they had formulated to stay afloat. This is when their famous Plexus Slim, known as the 'pink drink,' walked through the door and saved the company from bankruptcy in 2009. After this, their next product to be formulated was the Accelerator+. The company only discovered this product when an ambassador took a supplement from somewhere else with the Plexus Slim and experienced a drop of 6 pant sizes in 90 days. The product formulators confirmed that the product worked well and then reformulated it to work well with the Plexus Slim.

From there, the company blossomed. They utilized online training and soon became more diverse with their ambassadors. No longer did they just have the typical middle-aged woman, but there were 20-year-olds in top positions. They saw 600 percent growth in 2013 alone and have continued to grow exponentially ever since. Plexus surveyed their ambassadors asking why they were with the company and 92 percent of them responded that it was because the products actually worked.

Today, Plexus has over 14 products not including the combinations of the products that they sell. These products include a probiotic, vitamins, body cream and something for your nerve health. Their most popular seller is known as the Triplex Combo and it includes the Plexus Slim, Probio5 (the probiotic,) and the Biocleanse. When you do a quick search on Facebook, you can find several testimonials where people have lost weight, gone off of their medications, improved their overall heath and more when taking these products.

So are these new weight-loss supplements in the race to replace companies like Beachbody or Herbalife? Only time will tell for sure but as of today, the chances are looking good.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
