As someone who listens to a variety of music in English and Spanish, the perks of being bilingual, my taste is all over the place. There are songs that I haven’t listen too for a long time and others that play non-stop. So, I decided to put one of my playlists on shuffle and listen to the first 10 songs. Here are my ten songs:

1. Little Things by One Direction

Oh, boy. This brings back all the feels. I was in love with this song and still am. Every single verse made me feel as if the guys were singing it just for me. I was a big One Direction fan back then.

2. I hate u, I love you by Gnash Ft. Olivia O’Brien

This makes me think about how people can’t let go of that person that once meant the world to them. even if that love was never reciprocated the feelings are still there. It’s a heart vs head battle, that many of us have had.

3. Who says by Selena Gomez

Selena has always been inspirational to me. This song is an anthem for girls who are always compared to others or told they can’t achieve their dreams. As a thirteen year- old, I was going through many changes and often was compared to other girls. It allowed me to understand that I only needed to be me to be happy.

4. Don’t Stop the Music by Rihanna

Throwback Thursday! Wait, it’s not Thursday yet. Who cares! I remember blasting it all the time and still do from time to time.

5. Mi Gente by J Balvin

The moment this song came on, my sisters rush into the room dancing and shouting “Party, party!” After, constantly hearing it on the radio I got tired of it and avoided it at all costs. But guess what, I started dancing and singing with my sisters like there’s no tomorrow.

6. One Way or Another by One Direction

I immediately stop the song on my phone and played it on YouTube. You can’t listen to this song without watching the video, it’s the most hilarious and cute thing ever. Told ya I was a big one direction fan.

7. Sorry Not Sorry by Demi Lovato

Whenever I want to feel empowered, I listen to this song and feel badass. Demi has given me the confidence that I’ve wanted to for a long time and I thank her for that. To anyone who wants to feel extra confident. Here’s a tip: put on a killer outfit and match it with red lipstick and as you get ready, listen to this. It’s going to brighten up your day and make you unstoppable.

8. Gravity by Alex and Sierra

Don’t get me wrong, I love Sara Bareilles (the original singer). But the way that Alex and Sierra sing it gives you chills. Their back and forth singing makes it so powerful and intimate. You guys should check them out.

9. A Thousand Year by Christina Perri

This song makes me want to waltz around my room. I remember watching Twilight’s Breaking Dawn movie and falling in love with the melody as I heard it. Yes, I loved Twilight. From that day on, I promised myself that I was going to dance this song on my wedding day. I might break that promise when that day comes.

10. Solita by Ozuna

Nowadays, Spanish trap has become very popular. I’ve had this song on repeat and I tried my best to sing it but fail miserably. If you want to listen to something new, I suggest you give Spanish trap a try.

Not once I have I written about any songs on my playlist, so this was something new. Indeed, my taste in music is all over the place but I couldn’t have it any other way. Each song I have has had a different on me. Some make me feel empowered or sentimental, while others make me want to party 24/7. Music makes me happy and it has no boundaries.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
