If the clogs fit...wear them.

The Playlist Of Your Awkward Stage's Wildest Dreams

It's 2016. We have come so far since the ancient days of gaucho pants, sequin purses, Razor phones and lace camisole tank tops. We have waved "goodbye" to the plaid bermuda shorts and are now saying "hello" to chokers, big sweaters, leggings as pants, double-wrap necklaces and so much more. We have entered a new era. Times have changed. Here's the thing, though. We can't leave EVERYTHING in the past...ya know? We really can't. I know it's hard, but sometimes you just have to resurrect those pink gauchos for a minute and think to yourself, "What a simpler time this was for me." And while you most likely will never actually put those on your body again, there ARE in fact other ways to really take you back to that short-lived peak in your young life.

There is a little girl wearing a fitted graphic tee, flared light jeans with a sparkly scarf as a belt and a fresh new pair of clogs living deep inside of you. Notice her. Become her. The key to do that, my friends, is the music. Spotify, Google Play, Pandora, and YouTube exist for a REASON. Here are 10 songs to get you started in the right direction on the road to pure tween bliss. I've even attached MUSIC VIDEO LINKS for your very own convenience. It's an emotional rollercoaster of a playlist, so put your transition-lens shades on and buckle up.

1. "Get The Party Started" by P!nk

What better way to kick off this TBT than with this all-time classic? I mean, just look at that spiky hair. If that doesn't hit you right in the feels, I don't know what will.

2. "Right Now (Na Na Na)" by Akon

I honestly have no words for this one other than... poetry. True poetic genius. LOOK AT HIM.

3. "Hey Now" by Hilary Duff

An iconic moment in history which, let's be real, is probably the first reason why most of us were ever inspired to study abroad.

4. "Where Is The Love?" by The Black Eyed Peas

Oh. Now THIS is where the soul-searching really takes full force.

5. "Lucky" by Britney Spears

This right here is where you will completely lose any self-control you once had. HURRY! Find your way to the nearest window or mirror so that you can appropriately gaze at your reflection with mascara tears running down your face.

6. "Fireflies" by Owl City

Please, reader. don't 'x' out of this article just yet. I'm sorry. It's just that we are in way too deep here and there is no turning back now. We cannot escape the damage that has been done. Just take it in.

7. "Yeah!" by Usher

WITH THE STRONG COMEBACK! I told you not to give up. Fun fact: Usher was my first concert ever. Safe to say that 7th Grade Me was not ready for that whatsoever.

8. "Cheetah Sisters" by the Cheetah Girls

Velvet sweatsuit on, world out.

9. "Country Grammar" by Nelly

The climb continues with yet another classic. Definitely a huge culture shock to find out that when you get older, no one casually stands in a big crowd dancing around fancy cars!

10. "Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne

Last but not least, a ballad of pure rebellion by the QUEEN of teen angst herself. At this point you may or may not have whipped out the pink clip-in hair streaks. Just go with it.

The bottom line is, you can take the girl out of the awkward tween years, but the awkward tween can NEVER be taken out of the girl... so own it.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
