Hi, my name is Kevin and I love music. I listen to music all the time and love to make playlists for myself and my friends. So here are 10 songs that need to be on your playlists.
1. Mo Bamba - Sheck Wes
The beat change of this song is a full contact sport and that's all that needs to be said. Mo Bamba is 1000% a must add to any playlist. It's such a good song it'll make a funeral a good time (I can't guarantee that, so please don't do that).
2. I Love It - Kanye West and Lil Pump
Lil Pump is the new of King of the Teens (Sorry Lil Yachty) and Kanye West is an absolute icon. So what happens when they link up on a song together? One of the weirdest music videos of 2018 and one hell of a song. Just a small snippet of this weirdly amazing collaboration: "When the first time they ask you if you want sparklin' or still? Why you tryna act like you was drinkin' sparklin' water 'fore you came out here?"
3. BEBE - 6ix9ine feat. Anuel AA
6ix9ine is one of the most polarizing figures in the music industry right now and he knows this. However, in "BEBE" he completely turns his sound around as he puts out a song in all Spanish with Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA. It's a song that will turn the head of any 6ix9ine fan and is definitely a song you can dance too and vibe with.
4. Sit Next To Me - Foster The People
Just when you thought this list was going to be all rap/hip-hop BOOM... Alternative. Mark Foster and friends strike again with another hit song. "Sit Next To Me" is a laid back and melodic song that multiple generations can connect with. A truly special song that you can chill by yourself listening to and dance the night away at a party.
5. No Stylist - French Montana feat. Drake
Oh, hey, look a song with Drake in it that you should add to your playlist. Shocking. Right? In all seriousness "No Stylist" is actually a really good song and everyone's favorite 6 God turns in a very good feature. French Montana once again does a good job on a song but gets out done by a featured artist (Hey Swae Lee).
6. Drip Too Hard - Lil Baby & Gunna
Is the comparison between Gunna and Bubble Bass from Sponge Bob accurate? Maybe. Is Lil Baby bad at naming albums (Too Hard, Harder Than Hard, and Harder Than Ever)? Probably. Do they combine to make great music? Definitely. The first single off of their joint album "Drip Harder" is definitely a great sign for how good they're collaboration will be.
7. Hopeless Romantic - Wiz Khalifa feat Swae Lee
Yeah, I know Wiz Khalifa is on the song, but give this song a listen and try to tell me that Swae Lee doesn't carry the workload on this song. Swae Lee is the songbird of this generation and I absolutely dare you to counter my statement.
8. Sicko Mode - Travis Scott feat. Drake
Somewhere in America, Nicki Minaj is getting angry that I'm even typing this, but too bad Nicki, Stormi didn't help Sicko Mode blow up to be the song it is right now. But Drake did. Once again everyone's favorite Canadian rapper named Audrey makes a guest appearance on a song and, once again, it blows up. So when you give this song a listen to get ready, strap yourself in, and WELCOME TO ASTROWORLD.
9. Real Friends - Camila Cabello feat. Swae Lee
Once again there's some more non-rap/hip-hop, this time brought to you former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello. Camila didn't need the rest of Fifth Harmony, but she did need the Songbird of our generation (Hi Swae Lee) to produce a beautiful and deep song. You might not go crazy dancing to this song but if you're ever having a rough day just give this song a listen.
10. Knock Knock - Mac Miller
For the last entry on this list, I decided to go with a throwback that everyone can appreciate. On September 7, 2018 Malcolm James McCormick better known as Mac Miller passed away. For me, personally, Mac Miller played a big role in the reason why I enjoy rap/hip-hop so much and I remember listening to "Donald Trump" for the first time when I was in eighth grade and really loving the song. In my opinion "Knock Knock" is one of Mac Miller's best ever songs and makes me feel nostalgia of the simple times back in middle school.
