How crowdfunding helps YouTube content.

Play Through, YouTube and Crowdfunding
YouTube

YouTube has become a major entertainment outlet for people across the globe, and it creates a living for many of the content creators that make the entertainment. Recently there have been many new crowd funding campaigns and companies started to help anyone from innovators to students looking to study abroad. However, there are a select few crowd funding websites that are specially made for the people on YouTube that create playthroughs of popular video games. One such website, gamewisp.com, has taken the idea of giving the creators the option to offer gifts and special benefits to the people who choose to support their channel. One such channel on GameWisp (That One Video Gamer) has offered many different levels of support that you can choose from, the levels range from a simple $10 all the way to $40 a month. Each level comes with its own amount of benefits which include access to a special server and a new limited edition T-shirt a month.

These specialized crowd funders are becoming a popular way for the YouTube creator community to help fund the many expenses put into their content, for although many of the creators start in a bedroom or extra room in their house, they become attached to their work on YouTube and to the idea of being able to have their voice heard. For the playthrough creator, there is also the cost of the game itself and the video capture equipment made to capture game play. YouTube itself has a pay scale that depends heavily on the number of viewers that a channel receives. This means that a person's channel can turn out anywhere from $15 to $1,000 a month depending on the content created within those 30 days. Since the pay from YouTube itself is uncertain, many content creators have other sources of income that they use as their main source of income.

Since there are many channels that are centered around playthroughs or reviews of video games, it can be difficult for a new creator to become a well known channel among those who frequent YouTube. With the many crowd funding options focused on the playthrough creator, there is now a way for the creator to feel like they have indeed made an impact upon the vast community of YouTube and for them to also have a sufficient amount of money for which to further their channel's quality and content. This is why many of the creators have turned to GameWisp or even Patron to help finance their channel.

Overall, the ever changing internet has been able to give the video game playthrough creator an outlet for them to not only expand their wallet, but to also offer their viewers a gift in exchange for their monitary support.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

school

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
