Video games are super fun to play, especially with your friends. There was nothing better than trying to beat your friends at your favorite game and then getting to call yourself the "master."

If your parents also happened to influence your video game collection, then here's a list of video games that will make you want to get your hands on an old game consul and play immediately.

1. Pacman

The OG videogame to rule them all. There's nothing better than being able to clear the screen of all the white dots with "Pacman" and kicking butts against the ghosts.

2. Space Invaders

Long before the movie, "Alien," we were defending the Earth from "Space Invaders." We couldn't take too long though as the rows of Invaders would slowly but surely fly downwards to attack us.

3. Super Mario Bros

Favorite. Game. Of. All. Time. "The Super Mario Bros." game was the greatest because it all had different worlds to conquer, coins to collect, and little mushroom dudes to destroy. And don't forget how many times we had to save the Princess!

4. Donkey Kong

The OG of the jungle was Donkey Kong. He sits on his mighty thrown and tosses barrels down the slopes for Mario to trip over less he save the Princess once again. But what a good feeling it was to destroy him and make it all the way to the top!

5. Frogger

Instead of asking, "why did the chicken cross the road?," we should have been asking, "why did Frogger cross the road?" Obviously to get to the other side and not be run over by several cars.

6. Q*bert

Definitely one of the weirdest games to come out Atari and definitely the most challenging. We were never sure why but little Q*bert had to jump on all the boxes to make them change color in order to win the game, all the while avoiding the little springy snakes.

7. Zelda

"Zelda" is one video game everyone knows and how fun it was (and still is, but with way better graphics). Full of adventure and wistfulness, there was no stopping once you started playing this game.

8. Dig Dug

Digging your way through the layers of dirt to rid yourself of all the weird little monsters running around in the roots was always entertaining. Especially since the music only played while your character was moving and also stopped when you did.

9. Duck Hunt

If you loved dogs and loved to shoot guns but didn't have either in real life, this was the game to play. Shooting ducks out of the sky was always fun to see how good your aim was.

10. Breakout

Even though this game was essentially "Ping Pong" but just playing it by yourself with cool colored blocks to hit, the most frustrating part was when the little ball wouldn't go in quite the right spot to get the last block. But how satisfying it was when it did!

11. Pitfall

Move over Donkey Kong, the new king of the jungle has arrived! While trying not to fall in the pits, jump over rolling barrels, sliding past snakes, and risking getting bitten by jumping on the alligator heads, it was one crazy adventure in this game.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
