There are many lifelong advantages that come with competing in a college sport. The following are only some of the many perks you receive by playing a sport at the college level. Here is why I think everyone should consider joining a team:

College Education

A college degree has a direct impact on a person’s quality of life

Academic Success

Overall, student-athletes that compete at the college level graduate at rates higher than their peers in the student body.

Scholarships

More than 150,000 student-athletes receive $2.7 billion in athletic scholarships each year from NCAA member colleges and universities

Elite Training Opportunities

Student-athletes receive access to coaching, facilities and equipment

Academic Support Services

Student-athletes almost always have support academically, such as access to tutors and academic advisors who are willing to work around your busy athletic schedule

Experiences

Student-athletes have the opportunity to travel for contests, which make for fun life long memories

Preparation For Life

Student-athletes learn important life skills such as leadership, time management, and how to work effectively with others toward a common goal

With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day.
