As a freshman, most likely you knew exactly what you were going to do with the rest of your life. However, things hardly ever go as planned. Starting out as a nursing major and switching my major three times so far, I figured my experience is best explained through GIFs and listicles and Olivia from "The Bachelor."
1. Picking your initial life calling...
...and having a false sense of security because you totally know what you're going to be doing after graduation.2. Realizing that maybe you're not best suited for a major in Physical Education...
...considering you did everything in your power to skip that class in high school.3. Looking through the course book...
...and not knowing what half of the majors even mean.4. Finally!
Nursing sounds like a great profession, and I'll make a lot of money and save lives!5. Oh wait, nope.
That's the one major I had to decide the second I stepped on campus as a freshman...6. Oh! How about philosophy...
Yeah! I like thinking and stuff!7. No, what can I even do with a philosophy major?
Stand on a beach and contemplate whether the water is really water?8. What even is communications?
I can do that! I'm great at talking to people -- I do it every day!9. Wait, I'm not that good at communication...
Sometimes I say really inappropriate things at the wrong time. And I have no clue what communications even is.10. Oh... I've ran out of majors...
Do I even belong here? Do I have any direction? Is there even a major for what I really want to do?
