I love that nice, warm feeling brought on by the state of being inspired. Who doesn't, though?
It's awesome when you're inspired to such a degree that, without a doubt, you have gained a better sense of direction when constructing a masterpiece (essay, script, novel, poem...).
We want to create those dynamic plots, multi-dimensional themes, and perfectly executed dialogue...seeing it all spill out--straight from us--onto a blank page.
Boom. Enter, Any.Do –– one of the organizing/planning applications I've recently downloaded. This app can sync your planning lists to any of your electronic devices. I started exploring Any.Do, finding it such a lovely minimalist home for my general, everyday to-dos.
I later felt the app to be a great place to, perhaps, help me find some structure in the torrent of ideas in my head. I especially like using it when I know I'll have one of those busy days that won't allow me to sit down in a peaceful space with my journal, for a moment.
When the onslaught of story ideas becomes overwhelming, we all just have to find some way to tame or organize the creative torrent. Collecting journals and handwriting things will always hold that special place in my heart, but I do love trying new ways to sort the bits and pieces of my articles, essays, and my future novel.
So, what method of organizing and planning out your work do you prefer? What is your favorite way to organize the research you do for your written work?
