Planet Snoop Has Finally Hit The Internet

Our absolute favorite wildlife narrator, Snoop Dogg, now has his own web series called "Planet Snoop." There's now an entire season in the works where you can see Snoop Dogg reacting to animals fighting and eating each other in the most appropriate way possible. It's the best thing since Jimmy Fallon's lip-syncing battles.

It all started with a good idea on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Back in summer of 2014, Jimmy announced that he co-created a project, or nature special, if you will, where Snoop Dogg comes on the show and narrates clips of wildlife. They called it "Plizzanet Earth." The special was a success and they made more sporadically after the initial installment. Clips of the special were covered on local news, entertainment channels on YouTube and were shared all over Facebook and Twitter. People loved it so much they wanted more, which led to the creation of a petition on Change.org for Snoop Dogg to narrate an entire season of Planet Earth. Granted, many people didn't think it was going to happen because Planet Earth presents nature in a much more...serious manner. But...

The petition received 65,396 electronic signatures (including one from yours truly). And it even got attention from our hero.

On March 25, participants in the petition received an e-mail announcing that their efforts paid off. The first episode of the web series was released on the YouTube channel and Merry Jane website entitled "Planet Snoop: Squirrel vs. Snake." It's an unlikely battle with an unlikely victor, but it's the start of what we've all been waiting for. The only down side is the continued use of laugh tracks.

The original web series is featured on merryjane.com which you will quickly find is centered on one of Snoop's (and most of the PNW's) nearest and dearest loves. Plants. For a nature web series, that's pretty fitting, isn't it?

In honor of the creation of the best web series that has ever hit the Internet, here is a ranked list of the top five Plizzanet Earth episodes.

1. Otters vs. Crocodile: "Them Mongooses backed tha Gator up!"

2. Alligator vs. Bird: "You betta keep it movin' cuz! Flap! FLAP! AW CUUUZZ!"

3. Marten vs. Squirrels: "Is he goin' in they house to steal they babies?"

4. Walruses vs. Polar Bear: "There's too many of 'em, he gon get one o' ya'll."

5. Baboons: "Ahh I can't get my feet wet dammit!"

You can easily find the rest of the episodes all over YouTube and have a good laugh at Snoop Dogg trying to figure out what animal he's watching and contemplating mortality.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
