After a long ten months, the long-awaited football season is finally back and kicks off this coming Saturday. Although most football Saturday's are filled with tailgates and standing in the always crowded Beaver Stadium, this year we will be trading in tailgates for front lawns and Beaver Stadium for our couches. One part of the football season that doesn't have to change is what you wear to the tailgates. With the amount of Penn State clothing stores downtown, it can be a little overwhelming to figure out which ones are the best so, I'm going to narrow it down to the three Penn State clothing stores you should look at when picking out your cute tailgate clothes.

McLanahan's

This classic Penn State store located across from South Halls has literally everything you could think of from merchandise to stickers to shaving cream. McLanahan's is one of the most popular places to get Penn State stuff from because while they have the cute Penn State merchandise that is a little more expensive and tailgate ready, they also have a wall of cheaper shirts and sweatshirts that can be cut to make cute Penn State tailgate clothes. If you are looking for affordable Penn State shirts that you can easily make your own please go to McLanahan's you won't regret it!

Student Book Store

A great place to get your textbooks for cheaper and get clothes for a good price. While you may be familiar with the Student Book Store for the hours you spent waiting in line there to purchase your textbooks during the first week of school, it's great selection of Penn State gear makes it a hotspot to find cute clothes for Saturday's tailgates. With their convenient location on East College Avenue and their great selection of Penn State hats, it's no wonder why this place is so popular with Penn State students.

The Family Clothesline

The Family Clothesline probably has the most vast collection of Penn State apparel out of every store in State College. While the merchandise is more expensive, the tailgate clothes you can get from there are so cute and will last throughout the entirety of your four years here. In the back, they have a giant selection of Penn State sweatshirts and every time I go there, I have to restrain myself from looking back there because I am always tempted to buy another sweatshirt but have thus far restrained myself to four. I would definitely recommend checking out this place if you are looking for good quality Penn State gear or sweatshirts, check out The Family Clothesline.

While there are many more Penn State merchandise shops lining East College avenue, these three are my all-time favorites and I know I can always find something to wear. Even though this season will be different, it doesn't mean that you can't still look cute for the pictures and make some great memories. I hope this was helpful and happy tailgating!

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
