Anyone who goes to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio can tell you that it is a tiny college town. Essentially, there are two main areas to Miami University: campus and Uptown. Uptown contains all the fun things to do on the weekends. Ranging from bars to pottery painting, there is so much you can do Uptown.

However, something that all visitors comment on when coming to visit is the lack of hotels. With graduation coming up in two short months, Oxford is about to be booming with visitors here to see family and friends graduate. With a ton of people coming to campus at once, the ever-going question of "where do I stay" rises.

Here is a nice list of places you can stay in Oxford, Ohio!

1. The Marcum Hotel and Conference Center

This is a convenient hotel right on campus. The Marcum is a classy and conveniently-located hotel right next to the Farmer School of Business. Although it is a little more expensive than the usual hotel, you cannot beat the location right on campus! You also get free parking at this hotel, as well as a continental breakfast.

2. The Elm's Hotel

The Elm's hotel is another hotel in Oxford that is in a really great location! Right in the heart of Uptown, you will be right next to all the bars and restaurants. It'll be like re-living college all over again! It's also a beautiful hotel with two restaurants inside!

3. Best Western Sycamore Inn

This hotel is only 11 minutes away from campus by foot. Located on Sycamore Street, this is a less expensive option and also not far from campus at all. The best part? Free parking! We all know how hard it can be to get parking on this campus.

4. Baymont Inn and Suites Oxford

This is one of the most inexpensive options near campus, starting at $66 a night. It's not far from Yager Stadium or Houston Woods. Some amenities include free parking, wifi, and breakfast.

5. Hampton Inn Oxford

Again, this one is not too far off campus. This is a good option for all of those coming in with large groups and lots of family members! Make it a family event and stay at the Hampton Inn.

6. The Comfort Inn

Located on College Corner Pike, the Comfort Inn has free wifi, free breakfast, free parking, and a fitness center. It is in close proximity to our football stadium, ice arena, Millet Hall (our basketball arena), as well as the aquatic/recreational center. You can get a room for pricing starting at $142 per night.

7. Miami University Dorms

Luckily, since the university knows that hotels are limited in Oxford, the dorms are opened up for families to stay in during graduation as well. All the dorms are thoroughly cleaned, and new sheets and pillows are put on all the beds. I remember my freshman year, I had to check out of my dorm relatively early to make room for the families coming into graduation. So don't fret if many of the hotels in Oxford are filled, the university has options for you, too!

Graduation can be a crazy time in Oxford! With everyone's family and friends coming to visit (along with all the underclassmen moving out for the summer), Oxford is never busier. However, Oxford may be small but there sure are options when it comes to staying for graduation! Enjoy your visit to Oxford this graduation season, and congratulations to all the graduates!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
